Skyworld Aviation is pleased to announce the sale of two EASA ERJ 145 LR’s, serial numbers 145564 (G-CIYW) and 145601 (G-CIYX). The previous operator was AeroMexico Connect and both aircraft returned from lease to its European owner last year. The aircraft have since been in a storage programme with GC Aviation Maintenance Ltd (GCAM) at Cotswold Airport in the UK, who recently obtained Part 145 approval for the type. GCAM brought both aircraft out of storage for return to service. G-CIYX left Cotswold Airport on Friday 3rd March, bound for its new life with a global aviation services company. The second aircraft, G-CIYW, was purchased by Nilin Group – an EASA Part M maintenance provider based in Turkey.

Working in conjunction with Executive Jet Support in the UK, Skyworld Aviation has arranged the sale of an ATR 42-300 QC to Kolob Canyons Air Services of the U.S. Serial number 122 will ferry to its new owner this week under the existing Canadian registration C-GPEB. Skyworld Aviation and EJS previously worked together on the purchase of this aircraft along with its sister ship from Pascan Aviation and we are pleased to have continued our relationship with EJS by teaming up on this transaction. 

Skyworld Aviation has arranged the sale and leaseback of three ERJ 145 aircraft with AeroCentury Corp of the U.S. 

 

AeroCentury Corp. is a global aircraft leasing company which specializes in leasing  turboprop and jet aircraft, as well as engines, to regional air carriers. Skyworld Aviation’s relationship with AeroCentury reaches back to 2002 having worked on many regional aircraft transactions together. AeroCentury now has a portfolio of 33 aircraft appraised at US$220m leased to 12 airlines worldwide.

 

Skyworld Aviation is delighted to have arranged the sale of an ATR 42-320 on behalf of long term Channel Islands- based customer Blue Islands. Serial number 066, registered as G-ZEBS, was sold to charter and cargo specialist Fleet Air of Hungary.  The transaction closed on Wednesday 15th March and the aircraft left the Channel Islands on the same day. This is Fleet Air’s entry into the ATR market, having operated Saab 340’s since gaining its AOC in 2007. The aircraft will undergo a conversion to freight use, eventually operating alongside three Saab 340 freighter’s and one Saab 340 in passenger configuration.

 

Skyworld and Blue Islands have worked together on aircraft placements since 2011, and this is the fifth transaction completed on behalf of the airline. Blue Islands is a privately owned operator, established under its current name in 2006. 

Skyworld Aviation is pleased to announce the sale of two ATR 42-300 QC’s which were previously in operation with Canadian airline Pascan Aviation. Skyworld Aviation was exclusively marketing the aircraft on behalf of the administrator. Serial numbers 122 (C-GPED) and 158 (C- GPEA) have been sold to UK- based component support specialist Executive Jet Support. 

Other recent unannounced transactions include the sale of two Jetstream 32’s, on behalf of Largus Aviation AB of Sweden. Serial number 841 (previously SE-LHI) was sold on to AVA Air, a flight training specialist based in Martinique. The company plans to launch commercial operations serving neighbouring islands in the Caribbean.
