Skyworld Aviation is delighted to welcome Patrice Candaten to the team as Director of Sales. Patrice comes from Embraer where he held the position of Senior Sales Director for more than 18 years. Patrice was instrumental in developing Embraer’s Commercial Aviation brand across Europe, Middle East and Africa and his experience will be invaluable in expanding Skyworld’s exposure and client base, particularly in these regions. Prior to joining Embraer, Patrice spent 12 years with Saab Aircraft, initially with Customer Support responsibilities before moving to the Sales Division of Saab Aircraft International. Patrice’s aviation background started in the French Air Force.

Skyworld Aviation arranges sale of ATR 72-200 to Sprint Air
Skyworld Aviation is proud to have arranged the sale of an ATR 72-200 to Sprint Air of Poland. Serial number 441 was previously operated by CanaryFly and is now registered as SP-SPE. This is Sprint Air’s first passenger configured ATR 72-200 and is currently operating on ACMI contracts in Europe. Skyworld has worked with Sprint Air since 2005 when they acquired their first two Saab 340A QC aircraft. Since then SprintAir has undergone a rapid fleet expansion and Skyworld Aviation was involved with supplying 6 aircraft out of their current fleet of 12 Saabs.
Skyworld Aviation appointed to market ATR 72-500’s/Saab 2000’s
Skyworld Aviation is delighted to announce its appointment as remarketing agent for a fleet of five ATR 72-500’s and seven Saab 2000’s operated by Swedish regional airline Braathens Regional. The aircraft are owned by Swedish lessor Erik Thun AB and become available during 2016/17. The ATR 72’s (serial numbers 778, 822, 894, 917, 930) were built between 2008 and 2010 and have largely been operating with Braathens Regional since new.
Skyworld Aviation arranges ATR 42-300 ACMI contract in Haiti
Skyworld Aviation is pleased to have arranged a long term ACMI agreement between Danish Air Transport (DAT) of Denmark and Sunrise Airways of Haiti. The aircraft, an ATR 42-320 (serial number 112), is due to start operations in early March and the contract will continue into late 2017. Sunrise Airways currently operates a fleet of three 19 seat Jetstream 32 aircraft, serving Porte au Prince, Cap Haitien, Santo Domingo and Santiago de Cuba.

Its new owner accepted serial number 145570 on 15th January 2016 and the deal closed on 20th January. For now, the buyer remains confidential. First Dash 8 Q400 delivered to Aurora
Last year, Skyworld Aviation announced the sale of two Dash 8 Q400’s to a UK investment firm for onward lease. The transaction was particularly notable since it marked the 500th aircraft transaction for Skyworld – a milestone which we have since well exceeded! We are pleased to announce that the first aircraft, serial number 4354, has now been placed with Aeroflot subsidiary Aurora Airlines of Russia, and it arrived in Moscow in December. According to CH-Aviation, the aircraft will enter into operation on the Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk-Tokyo Narita return route, replacing a B737. The airline has acquired a total of three Dash 8 Q400’s (sister ship serial number 4351, and ex-Eznis Airways serial number 4106).
