Skyworld Aviation is pleased to confirm that it has engaged Andrew Moore of aerSide as its Marketing Representative in North America. aerSide will assist Skyworld in placing its current aircraft inventory primarily in the USA, Canada and the Caribbean.
The CRJ 900 first entered service in 2003 with Mesa Airlines as the launch customer. The aircraft was a stretched development of the CRJ 700 which had entered service two years earlier and which was itself a stretch development of the very successful CRJ 200 50-seater regional jet. The market for all three models had been driven primarily by pilot scope clause union agreements in the USA although they all achieved success in other markets too. Three versions of the CRJ 900 were marketed - Standard, ER and LR versions, however the ER was the only model to be delivered of which there were 118 aircraft.
